Mercedes-Benz PRESAFE® is a safety system that takes precautionary action to keep passengers safe when an accident is about occur. Available on most Mercedes-Benz models, this advanced technology ensures your drives through Huntington are safe and secure. Learn more about Mercedes-Benz PRESAFE® by reading on, courtesy of the team at Mercedes-Benz of Charleston.

How Does the Mercedes-Benz PRESAFE® System Work?

The PRESAFE® system predicts more than it reacts. When your Mercedes-Benz vehicle detects that an accident is set to occur, the system activates. Here’s how the system works:

  • To prevent passenger injuries, front head restraints automatically shift for maximum protection during the accident.
  • Should the system detect a potential rollover, the sunroof and windows will automatically close, helping keep out debris or harmful exterior objects.
  • The front safety belts will increase their tension, ensuring each passenger is protected against a potential serious injury.

Further safety features on select models include an emitted tone that prevents you from hearing loud noises by causing a reaction within your inner ear. The standard PRESAFE® system, along with the PRESAFE® Sound system, work hand-in-hand to ensure maximum safety in the event of a crash around the Bridgeport streets, or anywhere you may be traveling.
